Noctua

NH-U12S redux Spec and Price in Germany

Air

A single-tower 120 mm cooler in Noctua's stripped-back grey redux trim, built on the same heatsink as the original NH-U12S. Four heatpipes, one NF-P12 redux-1700 PWM fan to 1700 rpm at 25.1 dB(A), and a 158 mm height. At 71 mm deep with the fan fitted it does not overhang the memory slots, which is the compatibility problem a dual-tower cooler creates. Noctua rates it NSPR 129.

What owners and reviewers say

Summarised from 1 source(s), reviewed September 13, 2026. A source is counted only where it names this model exactly. How we track prices

Commonly praised

  • Leaves generous clearance for tall memory and the expansion slot, reasonably quiet at full speed under a six-year warranty.
  • Solid cooling for its price, with a second fan improving load temperatures.

Commonly criticised

  • Drops a heat pipe and the soldered interface versus the standard model, ships without extra accessories, and struggled with an overclocked processor.
