AMD's Ryzen 8040 mobile part: eight Zen 4 cores and 16 threads boost to 5.2GHz from a 4GHz base, backed by 16MB of L3 cache and Radeon 780M graphics. The 45W figure AMD lists as default TDP is the nominal number for premium thin-and-light chassis; the same page's configurable TDP stretches from 35W up to 54W depending on how an OEM tunes cooling. Built on 4nm process technology under the Hawk Point refresh name, one generation past the original Phoenix silicon.
