Privacy Policy

What PickyPeacock collects, why, and what it never does with your data.

Updated

What we collect

Very little. Your preferred region and language are read from the URL, and a preference you set (theme, or an explicitly chosen locale) is stored in your own browser's local storage so it survives your next visit. If you subscribe to the price-drop note, we store the email address you give us and the region it should apply to.

PickyPeacock's hosting provider processes standard web request data (such as IP addresses and request times) to operate the service. We do not run third-party advertising, analytics, or tracking scripts.

What we never do

We do not sell your data. We do not build advertising profiles. We do not track you across other websites, and we do not use cross-site trackers or third-party cookies.

Cookies and local storage

The site uses only your browser's local storage for preferences you set yourself — no cookies are set by the site itself. Nothing is shared with anyone else.

Your email subscription

The subscription is opt-in: you give us your address to receive the price-drop note, and nothing else. Every note includes a way to unsubscribe, and unsubscribing removes your address from our records.

Contact

PickyPeacock is a small, hand-run project. For any privacy question, open an issue on the project's repository rather than emailing — that is the fastest way to reach us.
