Ryzen Threadripper 7960X Spec and Price in Germany
Released October 19, 2023 ·
AMD's entry point back into HEDT: 24 Zen 4 cores and 48 threads boost to 5.3GHz from a 4.2GHz base, backed by 128MB of L3 cache inside a 350W TDP — twice the L3 cache and eight more cores than the AM5 flagship 9950X, at a considerably higher power draw. Quad-channel DDR5-5200 memory and up to 48 PCIe 5.0 lanes give it far more platform I/O than any AM5 desktop socket offers. Unlocked but sold without a cooler, it suits creators and developers who need more memory bandwidth and expansion than AM5 provides.
Tied 31st of 65 models in the CPU catalog on Boost clock — 8 models share this figure. Tied 4th of 65 models in the CPU catalog on L3 cache — 8 models share this figure.
