The plain MWE Gold V2 is the same value gold platform as the fully modular version with the cable panel removed: the leads are wired in, which is what keeps it cheap. It is 80 PLUS Gold at 90% or better under typical load, cooled by a 120mm hydro-dynamic-bearing fan, rated to run at 50°C ambient, and only 140mm deep. Cooler Master sells it at 550W, 650W and 850W and covers all three for five years. Choose it when the build has one graphics card, one or two drives and no cable-management ambitions.
