MSI MAG A1000GLS PCIE5 Spec and Price in Germany

80 Plus Gold1000WATX

GLS is MSI's MAG gold platform for ATX 3.1 and PCIe 5.1, and MSI states a seven-year warranty on it. It is 80 PLUS Gold at up to 90% efficiency and rated to absorb 220% of its continuous output in a power excursion held for 100 microseconds. Every wattage carries a native 12V-2x6 connector on a dual-colour cable, is fully modular, and sits in a 150mm chassis behind a 135mm fluid-dynamic-bearing fan. Protection adds surge and no-load handling to the usual over-current, over-voltage, over-power, over-temperature, under-voltage and short-circuit set. Four wattages from 650W to 1000W, the largest with eleven SATA connectors and a 600W 12V-2x6 cable.

What owners and reviewers say

Summarised from 2 source(s), reviewed September 14, 2026. A source is counted only where it names this model exactly. How we track prices

Commonly praised

  • Reviewers found it silent at light and moderate loads and notably quieter than the non-S model, with good soldering and tight 12V and 5V regulation.
  • It delivered full power at 47°C, meets ATX 3.1 and PCIe 5.1, and has low vampire power and inrush currents.
  • Owners call it good value for an ATX 3.1 unit with a 12V-2x6 connector and strong efficiency ratings.
  • It is described as quiet and reliable by owners whose units run as expected.
  • The fully modular labelled cables, colour-coded GPU pins and included cable bag are praised.
  • The ten-year warranty is a recurring positive.

Commonly criticised

  • The minor-rail over-current and over-power trip points need adjustment, and there is no fan-failure protection.
  • Its 12V transient performance at high load is mediocre, and load regulation at 3.3V is loose.
  • Several owners report units failing within months, often with the fan or bearing becoming loud before the unit stops working.
  • Owners describe the warranty and return process for those failures as slow or difficult.
  • Owners note the capacitors and bridge rectifiers are lower-grade than premium units.
