Thermaltake Toughpower SFX 1000W Gold Spec and Price in France
80 Plus Gold1000WSFX-L
Thermaltake's SFX series is SFX at 750W and 850W but the 1000W is an SFX-L unit — 126mm deep rather than 100mm — which is what buys it a 120mm fan instead of a 92mm one. It is fully modular with a native 12+4-pin connector rated to 600W, 80 PLUS Gold, ATX 3.0 compliant, and comes with an SFX-to-ATX bracket so it will also sit in a full-size case. The Smart Zero Fan keeps it silent below 30% load. Seven-year warranty.

What owners and reviewers say
Summarised from 1 source(s), reviewed September 14, 2026. A source is counted only where it names this model exactly. How we track prices
Commonly praised
- Reviewers found it delivers full power at 47C with strong 115V performance, and its native 600W 12VHPWR connector passes the ATX 3.0 transient tests.
- It runs quietly at light and moderate loads through a semi-passive mode, uses a quality fluid-dynamic-bearing fan, and is backed by a seven-year warranty.
Commonly criticised
- It is expensive for a small-form-factor unit, and the running cost of the format is noted as the reason.
- It gets noisy above roughly 630W and at higher temperatures, and reviewers questioned the SFX in its name because the 1000W model is actually SFX-L.
- Vampire power rises at 230V, power factor at that input is low, and light-load efficiency needs improvement.
