Core Ultra 9 288V Specifications
Released September 24, 2024
Intel's Core Ultra 9 Lunar Lake part: four Performance cores and four Low Power Efficient cores make 8 total and 8 threads, the same core layout as the Core Ultra 7 258V but clocked to a 5.1GHz boost from a 3.3GHz Performance-core base — both higher than the 258V's 4.8GHz boost and 2.2GHz base. Processor base power rises to 30W against the 258V's 17W, though maximum turbo power holds at the same 37W ceiling. Arc 140V graphics, a 12MB cache and LPDDR5X-8533 memory round out the chip.

What owners and reviewers say
Summarised from 1 source(s), reviewed September 14, 2026. A source is counted only where it names this model exactly. How we track prices
Commonly praised
- Reviewers find it neck and neck with AMD's higher-power Ryzen AI chip in single-core tests, and clearly ahead of the Snapdragon competition.
- Its integrated graphics are described as a genuine strength, keeping it level with AMD in real games and well clear of Qualcomm.
- Battery life is judged to live up to Intel's claims, with the tested thin-and-light lasting a full working day and more.
Commonly criticised
- Multi-core performance is its clear weak point, falling behind both AMD and Qualcomm and showing no generational improvement on that front.
