AMD's first 16-core gaming flagship with 3D V-Cache: the same 5.7GHz boost and 32 threads as the 7950X, but 128MB of L3 cache against the 7950X's 64MB, at a lower 120W TDP and a 4.2GHz base clock. That extra cache targets cache-bound games rather than sustained multi-core throughput. Like the non-3D model it ships without a cooler in the box.
