WD Red Plus HDD Spec and Price in the United States
Red Plus is WD's CMR NAS line: every capacity is conventional (non-shingled) recording, so the drives hold up to the sustained random writes of RAID rebuilds where the base Red's SMR SKUs would choke, per the WD data sheet. The 10TB and 12TB capacities spin at 7200rpm and the 8TB at a 5640rpm class, all with a 256MB cache and a three-year warranty. It is the safe default for multi-bay Synology/QNAP builds, at the price of a modest premium over the base Red.
