Kioxia Exceria Pro G2 Spec and Price in the United States
Released December 10, 2025
Sequential read speeds of 14,900 MB/s and random read IOPS above 2.2 million place the Exceria Pro G2 at the top of Kioxia's current lineup. A Silicon Motion SM2508 controller runs alongside full DRAM cache on a PCIe 5.0 interface, backed by a 1,200TB endurance rating and a five-year warranty. That combination points the drive at workstation builds and high-refresh gaming rigs capable of actually saturating a Gen5 lane rather than everyday desktop use. Against Kioxia's own Plus G3 and SATA models, it roughly triples the sequential throughput of the former and dwarfs the latter entirely.
Tied 1st of 106 models in the SSD catalog on Sequential read — 3 models share this figure. Tied 2nd of 106 models in the SSD catalog on Sequential write — 2 models share this figure.

What owners and reviewers say
Summarised from 1 source(s), reviewed September 14, 2026. A source is counted only where it names this model exactly. How we track prices
Commonly praised
- Reviewers found it paired the Silicon Motion SM2508 controller with BiCS8 TLC flash for fast, efficient PCIe 5.0 storage.
- It was described as a reliable alternative to the WD Black SN8100 for users who want Gen5 speed without the very fastest drive.
- Its DRAM cache and heat-dissipating label were highlighted as helping sustain performance under heavy workloads.
Commonly criticised
- It is not the quickest PCIe 5.0 drive available, trailing the top Gen5 models in some tests.
