The T5 EVO sits at the capacity end of Samsung's portable range rather than the speed end: it runs USB 3.2 Gen 1 at 5 Gbps and reads and writes at up to 460 MB/s, well under half what the T7 does on the same kind of link, but it is the only Samsung portable line that reaches 8TB. Samsung ships it at 2TB, 4TB and 8TB in a body of 40 x 95 x 17 mm weighing 102 grams, with a three-year limited warranty. It arrived in November 2023 at a $349.99 MSRP for the 4TB.
